When I was at Catholic school, I had a Hindu Mala (or Power) Bracelet, that got confiscated, I told them they were catholic prayer beads, and they gave me them back. My family worship Kali (hindu goddess) but if we called her Saint Sarah, then that was acceptable in the church somehow.
I find it all very confusing how just renaming something, makes it Catholic. I guess the same applies for Easter and other Pagan things right?
um, yes rosie )
nice to see you back btw
Yes, I did, which was even more weird, since I went to public school.
But twice a week from grades 1 - 6, then once a week from grades 7 - 12, I was hauled off to catechism ever Wednesday afternoon.
That's the only time I mixed and mingled with any of the Catholic School crowd.
They were cussing like sailors, smoking all but in plain view of the nuns (who were kinda dottering), and generally misbehaving in a way that we lower class scum at public school never did.
I guess we renamed it by saying that Catholic Religious School wasn't very religious, but it was real confusing.
