Does anyone know the story about the young man who went to church?
Once there was a long-haired hippy guy in torn blue jeans and a worn-out flannel shirt who visited a church one Sunday He walked right up to the front row and took a seat. The guy had a worn out, well-used Bible in his hand, a smile on his face, and he was ready to praise Jesus Christ. The two people sitting on the seat beside him very quietly moved down the pew, far away from this guy. He was affected by the actions of those "religious people" and he began to talk to God: "Father, I love you, and I'm here to praise you. I don't have much else to wear, and I can't afford a hair cut, but I'm here in this town to visit my dying mother. I needed to feel your presence this morning, Lord. I hope you don't mind. If you'd told me what these folks wear in their church, I would have borrowed some clothes." God answered back: "I'm sorry, Son. I didn't know what they wore either; I've never been here before." Is God invited to your church?
Amen!!!! I have a very good friend who worked at a church once he was a janitor general helper he is now a minister. Anyway the church had ordered thes very expensive banners and were planning some major banner program of some sort so the pastor of the churh called my friend in to work putting up banners as he and the pastor worked a man off the street appeared to them asking for help such as food I guess And the Pastor Screamed at him rudely GO TO FISH! (fish was a local food pantry) My friend informed the good pastor that when that man left Jesus went with him.
