I was given a sofa set (couch, loveseat, chair, and ottoman) by my aunt and uncle several months ago. It's tan suede. It probably smells like their house, their bodies, their everything, since they'd had it for about ten years. I wondered if this could possibly be a reason why my 10-month-old fixed female cat has decided it is her second pee-place. She never goes anywhere else outside of the litter box, and she still pees in the litter box much more than the couch. Any suggestions?
Also, I haven't seen a good answer to the "how do I get rid of the smell" question. It actually doesn't stink because I have cleaned it each time, but obviously it is something she can still smell. Short of throwing out my couch, perhaps someone has a solution I could try. I have used the sprays with no luck other than guests not smelling it.
